Wow! We are so excited to be home. In some ways, things are the same and in so many other ways, things are so different! Chick-fil-a tastes the same and the Lord knows we have had many conversations over the past 18 months about American food! (Especially with two teenagers in the house) It is different to be here and not live here anymore. Not sure how to put those feelings into words.
Since, we have arrived, we have had the chance to see many friends and family members. There is still a LONG list of people we would love to see, so we want to invite you to dinner. Come join us for the 3rd Annual Sweets for Swazi, March 5th 5:00-7:00 at Westwood Baptist Church (upper level) in Alabaster.
Here are a few specifics:
- Delicious dinner catered by Taziki’s Café. Grilled chicken marinated in Taziki’s homemade Greek dressing and their famous signature pasta.
- Variety of savory sweets for desserts. Italian cookies, coconut cake, pound cake, chocolate… just to name a few.
- Silent auction with amazing hand carved items from Swaziland, gift cards from local restaurants, massages and more. Visit facebook.com/sweetsforswazi for pictures of some of the unique auction items.
- Swazi Rocks will have their new bookmarks, handmade cards and necklaces available for purchase. Come and see Landon and Lane’s passion and heart for the kids of Swaziland!
- Brief time of sharing by Greg and Michelle (and maybe the boys) about what God is doing through our family in Swaziland.
Space is limited, so please let us know if you will be able to attend. Tickets are $15 and we are offering a family deal for $50 (maximum 6 immediate members). Tickets can be purchased at Westwood’s church office or call Michelle at 205-565-9290, email [email protected] or send us a Facebook message.
We would like to echo the words of Paul in Philippians 1: 4-5, “I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Thank you so much to those who have partnered with us to share the Gospel in Swaziland over the past year and a half. We are praying that God provides the support we need to continue what God has called us to do. We will return to Swaziland in May and are expecting God to continue blessing the work He has started.
We look forward to seeing you on March 5th!!!
Greg, Michelle, Landon and Lane
