We have been busy in Swaziland!!!

September 30th was the end of the fiscal year for Adventures in Missions. Since Michelle works in the finance department, she reviews LOTS of receipts. It is amazing to look back and see how God used her time at Westwood preparing her for Swaziland and receipts! Here is her favorite receipt of the year:

Isn’t this great? This amount is equivalent to approximately $300. This money was used to purchase a cow which in turn was used to purchase land for a local church. We are definitely not in the states any longer!

Landon is taking home economics this year and we are all thrilled. This is a picture of him about to put a homemade apple pie in the oven. Yum!

The first nine weeks of 10th grade is in the books. We celebrated by going to the dentist in Nelspruit! This is a town about 3 hours from our home and is also the closest McDonald’s. (Amazing what you look forward to when you live in a third world country.)  While trying to make the most of our time away, we were able to go on two field trips. We visited the Lowveld National Botanical Gardens and Chimp Eden, which is the first and only chimpanzee sanctuary in South Africa. Both of these were very interesting and some of us really got a lot out of it! (Not mentioning any names…see picture below)

As we have been praying for God to use us, God has opened a door for us to help serve in the sports ministry through mentoring. We are excited to grow deeper with the girls and guys on this team as we seek to make disciples and as they seek to make disciples, etc. Matthew 28:19 (Sound familiar to anyone at Westwood?)

Recently, eight of our care points have formed a soccer league and play each other every Saturday. It is quite an experience to see them play as most of them play barefooted and they are really good

We have also been preparing for Christmas parties and preschool graduations. Care point Christmas parties began last Wednesday and will continue until November 20th. Most every Wednesday and Friday will be filled with hosting Christmas parties at all the Manzini care points!

Thank you for all who make it possible for us to be here in Swaziland. We are blessed to be a part of God’s plan and so grateful for those who partner with us. We are excited to announce that we have purchased airline tickets to come home for a visit February through the first week of May 2016. We hope to meet with many of our Alabama friends and family and look forward to sharing with you on a deeper level about this ministry.

May God bless you,

Greg, Michelle, Landon and Lane
