Three years!  Today marks three years we have lived in Africa.  It has been mind-blowing to watch God provide for our needs as we follow Him.

We love to celebrate milestones. They are reminders of God’s faithfulness, even when we are not sure how things will turn out. He knows AND works all things for HIS good.

We have a few other milestones we would like to share with you:

The Adventures in Missions’ ministry is growing! Together with missionaries and locals, there are over 100 on this team.  On May 13th, the 6th Swaziland Leadership Academy (SLA) group was commissioned to Jeffrey’s Bay for training.  These 11 young men and women have grown up attending the care points and have now committed to give back to their communities.  After these students complete their training, they will spend the next two years serving at their care points!

May 21st was the official launch of Liberty Church Manzini.  We have been a part of this launch process since November and have loved working together with many new people who have become friends.  On May 21st, the launch team’s goal was to have 150 in attendance and God blessed the service with 270 people (including over 100 kids)! We are so excited to be a part of this new church in our community.

The boys are official licensed drivers!  Learning to drive on the other side of the road and on the other side of the car, made it a little more challenging to pass the road test in the US…but they passed the first time with no problem.   In the fall, they will be heading into their SENIOR year!!!

We have a new family member!  Michelle’s twin brother got married on May 6th (which is also our anniversary)!  Not only do Michelle and Kenneth share a birthday, but they now share an anniversary too.  The small beach wedding was beautiful, and we openly welcome Tracey to our family!!!

Swazi Rocks has done some thrilling things in the past few months.  A few families with disabled kids have been identified and given the opportunity to start up a small business.  Swazi Rocks has provided the “start up” cost to allow these families to buy inventory to run a small store with products such as chips and sweets.  These families will report monthly on profits and will be trained on how to reinvest some of those funds to buy more inventory.  They will use the other funds to provide medical services needed for their children and food for their families. They have also been able to assist a few kids in getting eye exams. The boy pictured below was discovered to have very short-sighted vision and special glasses have been ordered. God continues to bless the ministry that these four missionary kids operate solely by themselves. To find out more about Swazi Rocks, please visit facebook.com/swazirocks.

Thank you for following us on our wonderful journey. Whether you have walked beside us since the beginning, joined us along the way, or are just now coming aboard…THANK YOU! This ministry is a team effort and we would not be able to stay in Swaziland without your prayer and financial support. We should celebrate God’s faithfulness together as HE becomes apparent in every milestone we encounter!

We would love to hear some of your milestones. Please feel free to share them with us along with any testimonies of God’s faithfulness in your life.

Because of Him,

Greg and Michelle
