Trusting is one of the hardest things to do. It takes a long time to build trust, seconds to break it, and forever to repair it. With God, our trust will never be broken. He is always there for us, He created everything that we see around us, and He made each of us in His image. We have nothing without Him, and He has a plan for each of our lives. This blog is something that God had laid on my heart. It is modified from a message that I sent one of my friends a few months ago and I feel like somebody else needs to hear it also.  Trusting in God is the most important decision you will ever make.

Heaven is real, but Hell is also real. I can’t bear the thought of anybody not being in Heaven one day. God is not dead! He rose from the grave! Jesus died on the cross for our sins so that we don’t go to Hell for them. This is not some fairy tale in a kid’s book that someone came up with and wrote a book about, it really happened. Christianity is not just a religion. It is a decision to follow Christ in the good times and in the bad times, when we have everything and when we have nothing. Even though it might seem like sometimes there isn’t a God, or that He doesn’t care about us, He is always there and He never stops loving and caring about us. He knows everything about us because He created us! There would be no trees, no animals, no humans, or even a universe without Him. He created it all and wants us to be a part of His Kingdom.

John 3:16- “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son so that whomsoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Deciding to follow Jesus is the most significant decision that you will ever make. He has blessed us with everything that we have. Following Jesus is sometimes not easy, especially if it means moving to the complete opposite side of the world like we did. However, our mission is to make disciples of all nations and to spread the Gospel, so if that means having to move to the other side of the world, so be it. He has always provided for our family no matter what and we just need to trust in Him. A perfect example of this is having people financially support us every month, some of which we don’t even know and have never even met. People that the Lord has called to sacrifice some of their own finances and give to our ministry so that we can spread the Gospel to the people of Swaziland. The Lord always provides and guides us where we need to go.

Jeremiah 29:11- “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

I don’t really know what the future looks like for our family in the upcoming year with Lane and I going off to college, but we are trusting in the Lord and praying about where we are supposed to be. We know that He has a plan for each of our lives. Both of us are in the process of applying to a few colleges. However, we still have not made any decisions on where we will go. Please be praying with us that we will follow the Lord’s will for our lives and that we will show the love of Christ wherever we may go. My prayers for all of you is that you will come to have a personal relationship with God if you don’t have one, and that you will follow Him to further advance the Kingdom of Heaven and be a light for Christ in the darkness of this world.
