Thank you for all that prayed for our safe arrival in the states.  The repatriation flight of 23 hours from Eswatini to Dulles, Virginia was by far the longest and most stressful travel we have had yet, but we are so thankful for the opportunity to come stateside.  Our last flight to Birmingham was cancelled, but thankful Landon and Lane were able to come to Atlanta to pick us up with just a few hours’ notice!  We have been able to stay in a fully-furnished house across the street from Greg’s mom, Landon and Lane. Our church, friends and even strangers have provided resources for groceries and money to cover most of the repatriation flight expense!

We are truly excited and thankful to physically be with our family.  Over the past six years, we have become accustomed to not being face to face with those we love.  Many of you have struggled with the quarantine since guidelines have not allowed for social activities and we really understand this struggle. We have a new appreciation for social interaction as we feel many of you will too!

We have been in Alabama for a little over two months!  I (Michelle) am still heavily involved with the finances in Eswatini and am able to continue to work from home with the help of online software and internet.  Much of what I did in Eswatini was done from home, so not much has changed…just working from a different country!  Many mornings when I wake up, there are multiple messages on my phone…as my coworkers are nearing the end of their work day.  We have been able to continue to pay every staff member and provide emergency food assistance to many homesteads.  Greg continues to lead the operation’s team through brainstorming meetings as carepoints begin to open up soon under new government guidelines.  Handsfree sinks are being installed and several carepoints are opening tomorrow, June 15th, to provide food only, to test this new process and see if any adjustments need to be made.  Eswatini is seeing a surge in positive cases, so please continue to pray!

We also ask that you continue to pray for us as we navigate through these unknown waters.  We appreciate your continued support and are so thankful for your partnership as we continue to serve the Kingdom of Eswatini.

Because of Him,

Greg and Michelle

  1. We will be praying for you guys for sure. Do you have plans to return the field?

  2. I would like to make a contribution towards furthering your mission if you will give me a local address to send a check.
