Greg and Michelle Mullins currently live in Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), Africa and have experienced almost 24 wonderful years as a married couple. They have been doubly blessed with twin boys, Landon and Lane, and they are 19 years old. Currently, Lane is pursuing a graphic design degree at Auburn University and Landon returned to the states in August 2019 to work and seek God’s next steps for his life. Previous to moving to Swaziland, Greg was employed with the City of Alabaster as a firefighter for 15 years. Michelle worked as Westwood Baptist Church’s bookkeeper, and prior to Westwood, she worked at a local bank for 16 years.
In 2012, the entire family was privileged to visit Swaziland, Africa while joining a mission team from their church, Westwood Baptist. Little did they know, their lives would never be the same. During a prayer meeting while in Swaziland, one of the missionaries simply called out to God that He would send more families to help them in the ministry. God spoke to Greg’s heart during that prayer, tapped him on the shoulder and begin to show him His plan. After returning home, Greg began to recognize God’s call and shared with his wife, Michelle, what God was telling him. Unknowingly to Greg, Michelle had felt the same calling. Michelle was called to the mission field as a teenager, during a youth camp. She has simply been waiting on God’s timing and while in Swaziland, God confirmed her calling.
God gave them a peace with each question that surfaced of the logistics of moving their family to Swaziland. They simply chose to say “yes” to God’s calling and trust in His plan. They have been on 100% support since their move in June 2014. God uses their family, friends and sometimes total strangers to partner with them financially as they seek to follow God’s amazing call upon their family.
