Hi Friends!

The summer has been quite busy with a trip to Eswatini and a visitor from Eswatini.

Michelle and I spent almost three weeks in Eswatini in June. We attended a lot of evaluation meetings and trainings about the child sponsorship program. Since Swazi is a warm culture, this face to face communication with our staff provided great feedback on how we can improve going forward.

It was a great time to reconnect with friends and staff, especially, for Michelle since this was her first time back since relocating to the states in 2020. As you may recall, I travelled alone last summer. I definitely prefer to travel together so I was thankful we were both able to visit this year. This is one of the cooks, Khanyisile, at the Timbutini Well of Hope CarePoint.

This is our Special Friend, Siphiwayinkhosi!

In July, our dear friend, Sdumo, was given an amazing opportunity from a generous church in Missouri to visit the US for his very first time. We met and worked closely with Sdumo at one of the CarePoints we partner with after we first moved to Swazi. After a week in Missouri, we were able to host him for a few days in our home and take him to the Adventure In Missions (AIM) main office in Gainesville, Georgia. It has been neat to watch him grow and mature over the years. It was also fun to see his reactions to the American culture. He loved Mexican food and had fun shopping at Walmart for himself and a few friends.

Our family has also had a full summer! Lane completed his graphic design degree from Auburn and Landon completed his associates degree in business from Liberty University. They have both moved to their own apartments, so we have an empty nest once again. It looks a lot different from the first time when we returned to Eswatini without them in 2018. This time they are less than 20 miles away as opposed to 8,000!

Thank you for all who support us as we continue to serve at AIM. We are feeling more confident in our child sponsorship roles and are finally getting in a routine. We still have a long way to go as the ministry is constantly changing and we are excited to see what God has in store. We trust that through your partnership God will continue to bless and bring hope to the country we love so deeply.

Thanks for following our journey!

Greg
